(2015-02-01)   Who invented bitcoins ?
Who is  Satoshi Nakamoto ?

At this writing  (updated 2015-11-19)  it's still not known publicly who  Satoshi Nakamoto  really is, but he has been  nominated for the Nobel prize in economics by  Bhagwan Chowdhry,  professor of finance at UCLA  (Anderson Graduate School of Management).

Here are a few real identities which have been attributed to  Satoshi Nakamoto :

Shinichi Mochizuki  (Kyoto University)

This guess was first ventured  by:

  • Ted Nelson (1937-).  He says his conclusion was inspired by a paper of Caroline Chen (2013-05-09) who remark that Mochizuki's claim of a proof of the ABC conjecture was launched on 2012-08-31very much like bitcoin was launched. made public on 2012-08-31 on very much the same way bitcoin was launched. on the Internet in a way that resembles the launch of bitcoins.
